What is it? A practical laboratory for artists and other professionals who are interested in developing and questioning the work of Boal through practice. TOTOL is not a training programme and participants are expected to have an existing knowledge of the Theatre of the Oppressed and be willing to facilitate exercises periodically.
Aim: To explore question and challenge the work of Augusto Boal and the Theatre of the Oppressed, in relation to current theory and practice from other fields, in order to move the practice forward and keep it relevant, alive and connected to political and social change.
TOTOL is currently on hold but practitioners may be interested in Strange Theatre's Forum Jam group which is held every two weeks in Edinburgh.
